“OPEN THIS END” is the group of Art and Culture. Is one of the best known art groups in Virtual Worlds with more than 700 excellent artist’s members inworld. Now “OPEN THIS END” group have been selected to be in the WORLD EXPO SHANGHAI 2010. We will be there in the special and selected program for the Expo, during the 6 months. More than a wonderful success, it is a dream, because it’s the most important event in the world!

OPEN THIS END's project is to promote, to show and to enjoy with the virtual art in SL & even in RL and to show the art works in a very specials forums and museums. We are working, promoting and helping all related with Art and Creation. This group is for all that loves the Culture and the Art. We do Classes, Conferences, Showcases and Exhibits. We are doing also a catalogue SL/RL called OPEN ART to show the SL Art & Culture. We have many cultural events per week and all high quality and great. We have the best ART groups, galleries and artists. We are alive, active and full of ideas and projects.

“OPEN THIS END" is a NONPROFIT association, so we all work for free. Artists will never have to pay. This is not our business, it is our passion. We work for you and your art; to promote and to show your Art, Group, Gallery, Showcase or Creation. We all art lovers do "OPEN THIS END".

THE FIRST EXHIBITION:

OPEN THIS END was presented for the first time in Wizard, thanks to our generous Promoter and Hosted CATALINA McCaw, with the very well known exhibition called: "Post Crisis Era"

The POST CRISIS ERA exhibition concept:
“The economic crisis of 2008-2009 is the greatest crack in history. Never before has the world experienced anything like it. Now, in these days, hopefully the light is beginning to shine. We can see some optimism coming to us. The worst times seems blowing up. But something looks clear: the industrial stage seems to come up to the full circle. Are we now in the new Post-Crisis era? How will our world be next decades? "
The artists gave us their interpretation.

CRISTINA GARCÍA-LASUÉN

She is the founder and CEO of the group OPEN THIS END. In RL she calls Cristina García-Lasuén and she is an international curator and representative of museums and art writer. She is the author of several textbooks currently in use, and has been published in several art history magazines. Art is all her life. She does essays, international exhibitions, classes, conferences and all related with art. She created OPEN THIS END to help artists and to join all art lovers. One of her goals is to bring art to as many people as possible; rigorous and demanding in the background, but expressed in a vital, lively and fresh way. Another one is to show in Orient and in Occident their respective art. And another important one is to show all kind of art, generally the newest Virtual Art. But always the best.

In worlds, in SL, her name is Aino Baar, she was a curator in the “Second Life 6º Birthday” and also “Art pathfinder” in the last Burning Life, and Management of Arts in the TLE, SL, University. Management of Art/ Showcase/ Exhibitions/ Conferences/ Magister Classes/ Art Classes/ (in English and Spanish)
TLE UNIVERSITY says: The showcase's new manager, Aino Baar, has exciting plans for making it even more vibrant than it's been-and she has the real-life credentials to do so. In the real world, Aino is Cristina García-Lasuén well known throughout the art history community, Ms. García-Lasuén is the author of several textbooks currently in use, and has been published in several art history magazines. Besides taking on the showcase, the multi-lingual Aino is also teaching classes in art history for The Learning Experience. Her first class was “Before the History”. In the class, she said, "We will approach some of the main and controversial points of view on the evolution of the human being and discover some data and we will exile certain myths."
